The Greenlee School awards more than $150,000 in scholarships to students annually. The annual call for scholarship applications allows submissions between Nov. 1 and Jan. 15. Open enrollment announcements are sent to current students via email, and announcements for incoming and current students will be on the school’s website. A few special scholarships are announced by proposal call via email in the spring. Students are greatly encouraged to watch for emails with any mention of scholarships in the subject line.
Students must be enrolled full-time with a primary major in advertising, journalism and mass communication or public relations at the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication for the semester in which the scholarship is issued.
Students are considered full-time during the semester for which they are enrolled in ADVRT, JL MC or P R 499A – Professional Media Internship.
Instructions: Greenlee School scholarship applications must be completed in one session. A PDF copy of the complete application is available for you to review before starting the application. The application asks for basic contact and academic information and will require you to upload a Word or PDF file of a 400-word essay thatdescribes the impact you hope to have in your field and how your education and experiences at the Greenlee School can help you get there. To answer this question, address your career goals, your involvement and leadership in clubs, publications and organizations, and your relevant work experience. You will be assessed on both content and quality of writing.
Please do not start the application until you have written and saved the essay and ensured that it is free of errors and ready to submit.
